Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle (original name Ulrich Leonard Tolle) is a German spiritual teacher and author of motivational literature.
He spent the first thirteen years of his life in Germany. After graduating from the University of London, he went to Cambridge, where he worked as a researcher and lecturer. At the age of twenty-nine, a profound spiritual transformation radically changed the course of his life.
He spent the next few years integrating and deepening this personal transformation, which was the beginning of an intense spiritual journey.
He has been a counselor and spiritual teacher for the last ten years, working with individuals and small groups in Europe and North America. He has lived in Vancouver, British Columbia since 1996. His first book, The Power of Now, was a "1 New York Times bestseller" and has been translated into 33 languages worldwide.
