This author began writing detective fiction in retirement to keep his mind active. Combining a love for history with the mystery genre, he has crafted two series of murder mysteries set in Norfolk between 1760 and 1800. This era in Britain was marked by constant wars and revolutions. One series follows Mr. Foxe, a bookseller and city official, as he resolves cases in Norwich. The other series features Dr. Adam Bascom, a young physician whose curiosity constantly draws him into intrigue during the Napoleonic Wars along the North Norfolk coast.
