Karen Ratto-Whooley

Karen Whooley's journey with crochet began at age seven, taught by her Italian grandmother, who instilled in her the Italian names for stitches. This early immersion led her to self-teach pattern reading in English. Transitioning from following patterns to designing in 1998, her career took flight after encouragement from a fellow designer and the successful reception of her initial creations. Her venture, Crochet Legacy, evolved to encompass knitting designs, becoming KRW Knitwear Studio to reflect her broader creative scope.
