This author, who was educated in a Catholic convent school and later at Oxford, harbored a secret rebellious spirit from a young age, finding early inspiration in the adventurous worlds depicted in literature. After completing her studies in English and dedicating many years to teaching and publishing works of non-fiction, she embarked on a decade-long research into the lives of Rudyard Kipling and his sister, Trix. This intensive study led her to realize that only fiction could adequately capture the essence of their compelling story, culminating in her first novel which explores their complex narrative.
