F. H. Achermann Books
Franz Heinrich Achermann was a Swiss clergyman and author of popular, often romanticized, youth novels. His works, characterized by suspense and sometimes a tendency toward kitsch, drew inspiration from his deep fascination with prehistory, particularly the Stone and Ice Ages. Beyond his historical works and tales of early humanity that established his fame across the German-speaking world, where he was likened to Karl May, Achermann also penned speculative future stories, student tales, and detective novels. His popular romances, which made him one of Switzerland's most widely read youth authors, have seen renewed popularity in revised editions since the late 1970s.
