Exploring the urgent need for alternative fuels due to energy scarcity and environmental concerns, this study focuses on biofuels as a viable option for CI engines. It details the production of bio-crude through hydro-processing in a high-pressure reactor and its subsequent fractional distillation to produce green diesel. The research evaluates the properties of green diesel against petro-diesel and demonstrates its superior brake thermal efficiency and lower emissions, highlighting its potential as an eco-friendly fuel alternative.
