Meng Chiao

Meng Jiao was a poet of the Tang Dynasty, distinguished by the striking force and harshness within his verse. His surviving works, numbering around 500, frequently explore themes of poverty and cold, characterized by the potent and at times startling imagery championed by Han Yu. This powerful voice is represented by two of his poems within the seminal collection, Three Hundred Tang Poems.
