The study investigates factors impacting the quality of technical and vocational education and training at Hawassa Tegbaread Polytechnic College, utilizing a mixed-methods approach. Key findings indicate that trainees often lack foundational skills and confidence in practical work, while trainers exhibit insufficient commitment. Additionally, inadequate workshop facilities and a lack of administrative support, compounded by budget constraints, hinder effective training implementation. This comprehensive analysis highlights crucial areas for improvement in vocational education quality.

Focusing on the traditional pottery making process in Shebadino woreda (Laku), this study aims to enhance competitiveness and productivity through technology transfer. It seeks to foster inter-firm cooperation among micro and small-scale pottery workers, ultimately improving their innovation capabilities. The research indicates a positive reception, with 78.8% of respondents supporting the initiative, while a smaller percentage remained undecided or opposed. The findings suggest that these improvements could lead to a sustainable and productive future for local pottery makers.

Focusing on radial distribution feeder fault protection, this research addresses power outage mitigation at the Shashamene substation, which features a 132KV incoming line and multiple transformers. It highlights the importance of optimal relay coordination for overcurrent relays using Time Multiplier and Pickup Current Setting. To enhance response times for short circuit faults, the study proposes utilizing an artificial neural network (ANN) to resolve miscoordination issues among adjacent relays. The analysis involves a test system with 21 buses, 12 outgoing lines, and 18 overcurrent relays.
