Charles Andler Books

Charles Andler was a foundational figure in the development of German studies as an academic discipline. His extensive work delved into the deep roots of German socialism and political ideologies, including pan-Germanism and imperialism. Andler also engaged with philosophical and literary currents, evident in his monumental study of Nietzsche and analyses of poetry. His intellectual scope, however, extended beyond Germany; he also explored the relationship between Erasmus and Luther and contributed to the understanding of German philosophy through his translations of Kant.
