Edward Charles Pickering Book order

Edward Charles Pickering was an American astronomer and physicist who made significant contributions to astrophysics. He discovered the first spectroscopic binary stars and developed a method for simultaneously photographing the spectra of multiple stars. Under his leadership at Harvard College Observatory, great strides were made in gathering stellar spectra through photography.
