A BLANK PAGE My mind has trouble conveying my thoughts To my hand and the pen that I hold I try to put the words onto paper So my poem can begin to unfold. But alas my hand still grips the pen No words on paper have I scribed My thoughts seem to be running rampant I can't seem to get them organized. I search and struggle for the words They use to come to me so easily But now my pen rests upon the paper My thoughts are striving to be free. I want to tell you of certain things Some magical and some that are true I want my words to take you there It's your imagination you need to pursue. Words, I pray, do not elude me But right now my pen sits idly by My paper is blank and I'm confused As I sit here and continue to sigh. You'll have to wait to read my words As my hand refuses to write Somehow the message is being blocked So I might as well say good-night!' But maybe tomorrow they'll be in sync And the words will begin to flow I'll have that poem for you to read And then your imagination can grow. So stick around and please don't leave Hang with me for another day I know the words will eventually come There's so much I have to say. Written by: Chee Chee Martin
