John Banim

    John Banim was an Irish novelist, short story writer, dramatist, poet, and essayist, sometimes referred to as the 'Scott of Ireland.' Before dedicating himself to literature, he also pursued art, working as a painter of miniatures and portraits and as a drawing teacher. Alongside his brother Michael, he also wrote under the pseudonym The O'Hara Family. His body of work represents a significant contribution to Irish literature.
