Justus Freiherr von Liebig Books
Justus von Liebig was a German chemist who made significant contributions to agricultural and biological chemistry, and to the organization of organic chemistry. As a professor, he pioneered the modern laboratory-oriented teaching method, earning him recognition as one of the greatest chemistry educators of all time. He is credited as the "father of the fertilizer industry" for his discovery of nitrogen as an essential plant nutrient and his formulation of the Law of the Minimum, which described the impact of individual nutrients on crop yields. His work extended to developing manufacturing processes for meat extracts, founding a company that would later trademark a well-known brand of meat bouillon.
