Lucien Wolf

Lucien Wolf was an English journalist and historian deeply committed to advocating for Jewish rights. His writings primarily focused on foreign affairs and diplomacy, where he established himself as a respected expert. The anti-Jewish pogroms in Russia ignited his passion for Jewish causes, leading him to become a vocal critic of the Tsarist regime and a champion for the plight of Russian Jews. While he opposed political Zionism, he was instrumental in proposing British support for a Jewish home in Palestine and later championed national cultural autonomy for Jewish communities. His involvement in the Paris Peace Conference was crucial in drafting minority treaties to safeguard the rights of various populations.
