Baron William Thomson Kelvin Books
William Thomson, later known as Lord Kelvin, was an Irish-British mathematical physicist and engineer who made significant contributions to thermodynamics and the mathematical analysis of electricity. His work was instrumental in unifying the emerging discipline of physics into its modern form. Beyond his academic achievements, he also pursued a career in electric telegraph engineering and invention, which brought him public recognition and acclaim. He is honored by the naming of the absolute temperature unit, the kelvin, and is renowned for determining the value of absolute zero.
