Starr Frederick

    Frederick Starr was an American academic, anthropologist, and 'populist educator' renowned for his extensive collection of charms and votive slips. His fascination with these items earned him the nickname 'Dr. Ofuda' in Japan. Much of his collection was later sold and is now housed at the University of Oregon.
