Early one morning, the dawn raiders swooped down on the tiny west Kentucky farm where Ben Jury lived with his father. They came with blazing guns and the intent to kill, leaving Ben's father lying dead on the floor of the tiny farmhouse. The raiders made a mighty enemy in Ben, who will now stop at nothing to avenge the senseless killing of his father. Ben overheard the men talking, and he knows where they're headed. Now he's out for blood, to repay that of his father, and he's going to follow these killers, no matter where the journey takes him. He has no way of knowing how long the trail is or how bloody it might become as he tracks the killers all the way to Texas for a final showdown along the Brazos River.
