Travis Lee Hicks is a father, husband, and long-distance runner. Originally from Middle Georgia, he holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University. Hicks spent 13 years practicing architecture and design before transitioning to academia. He now teaches interior architecture full-time at UNC Greensboro, where he guides design students in community-engaged projects that positively impact the Piedmont-Triad region of North Carolina. His work bridges the gap between design principles and practical community development.
