The children’s book, Candyland Moon, was inspired by an actual dream of author Julie Rose Sparrow, who dreamt of seeing two moons in the night sky––an ordinary moon, and a giant colorful moon full of chocolate, peppermint sticks, fields of strawberries, and snow-capped mountains. Upon awakening, Julie began to write the story of her granddaughter’s visit to Candyland Moon, where she makes new friends and explores the magical world of Candyland Moon. There she meets the Bear Queen, who teaches her that she can make a difference in the world by planting wildflowers to save the disappearing bees.
