Garrison Brinto Daniel Garrison Brinton

    Daniel Garrison Brinton was an American physician and surgeon who served in the Union Army. His academic career focused on ethnology, archaeology, and American linguistic studies. He held professorships at the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences and later at the University of Pennsylvania, where he taught until his death. His work centered on the study and understanding of the Indigenous peoples of the Americas and their cultures.
