Gary Goodwin offers a whimsical look at the serious, not-so-serious, and sometimes completely random issues facing the legal profession today. His writing is characterized by a playful tone and an original approach to tackling complex legal matters. As in-house counsel for a conservation organization, Goodwin draws on his extensive background in marine biology and law to craft insightful and distinctive prose. His works present his personal opinions, offering readers a fresh perspective on the world of law and its relationship with natural resources.

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Everything: You don't have to have everything, just be one with everything
    • 2019

People pursue three things during their time on earth: Life, Liberty and basically everything else. I have written a narrative nonfiction book which provides a humorous view of society's desire to pursue happiness and well-being. The book bursts with big ideas on happiness, ethics, thinking, nature, exercise, mindfulness and life. All of this and more can be found within its 81,000 words and no pictures. The footnotes are strictly for fun.
