Ralf Isau Books
Ralf Isau's storytelling is deeply rooted in values passed down from his parents. His mother instilled a faith in God, while his father, a gifted and imaginative narrator, passed on the art of storytelling. Though he initially struggled with writing in school, Isau always possessed a vibrant imagination, later channeling this into poetry and elaborately bound school reports. He eschewed university for a career in IT, learning programming languages, but soon realized his true calling lay elsewhere. In 1988, he began writing his first book as a personal gift for his young daughter, aiming for a thrilling tale that would captivate her. This project eventually led him to craft a separate, single-day-written story for her about a dragon named Gertrud, which, when shared with author Michael Ende, launched Isau's professional writing career.
