THE WORKING WEEK emphasizes speaking, listening and problem solving at work. Each unit is based in a different company during the morning or afternoon of the five working days. This course teaches students to do their job in English - not just to talk about work.

This intermediate business course has an emphasis on speaking, listening and business correspondence. The course is divided into ten units, each corresponding to a morning or afternoon of business over five working days and is based on everyday situations found in most businesses in the course of a typical week: coping with messages; giving instructions; unwanted callers; stock availability; correspondences; insisting; complaints; dealing with problems; making decisions; travel arrangement; getting people to pay; phoninh around; playing for time; and dealing with numbers. Activities involve realistic problem-solving; using phone, fax and e-mail; grammar revision; intensive listening; discussion; and everyday correspondence.
