Catherine Pozzi

    July 13, 1882 – December 3, 1934

Catherine Pozzi, born into an aristocratic milieu, showed an early aptitude for music and journal writing. Influenced by her artist and writer friends, and profoundly affected by the published diary of Marie Bashkirtseff, she began to write with intensity. Despite chronic health issues, she pursued studies in history, philosophy, and science. Her life was marked by a passionate relationship and subsequent isolation, which deeply informed her introspective and philosophical writings.
