Cornelio A. Doelter Books
Cornelio August Doelter was a distinguished mineralogist, petrographer, volcanologist, and chemist. His research focused on the petrography of igneous rocks and volcanology, particularly on the Pontine Islands and Cape Verde, and later on ancient igneous rocks in the Predazzo region of South Tyrol. He is recognized as the founder of experimental silicate chemistry and chemical mineralogy, where he also investigated the origin of mineral colors. Cornelio August Doelter's scientific work laid the groundwork for further research in experimental mineralogy.
