Ernesto Guevara

Ernesto Guevara was a pivotal figure in the Cuban Revolution, driven by a Marxist ideology and a fervent belief in global revolution to uplift the impoverished. His experiences, particularly the overthrow of Guatemalan President Jacobo Arbenz, solidified his radical convictions. After joining Fidel Castro's movement and participating in the successful two-year guerrilla campaign that ousted the Batista regime, Guevara held key positions in the new Cuban government. He ultimately left Cuba to spread revolution internationally, first in Congo-Kinshasa and later in Bolivia, where his revolutionary efforts concluded.
