Monografie Keitha Haringa, jednoho z nejvýznačnějších malířů 80. let. Filozofie jeho tvorby byla jednoduchá: zpřístupnit umění všem. Miloval graffiti i své nadšené publikum a před ním tvořil v newyorském metru i na ulicích. Jeho obrazy jsou plné veselých stylizovaných postav lidských i zvířecích, které tancují po ploše obrazu v divokých tancích.

Seine Arbeiten erlangten erst sehr spät Anerkennung, obwohl Keith Haring bereits in jungen Jahren ein ungewöhnlich starkes Talent als Zeichner entwickelte. Im Kunstverlag Weingarten erschienen nun die ersten beiden Bücher einer neuen Geschenkbuchreihe mit den typischen Zeichnungen des 1990 verstorbenen Künstlers. Das Buch DANCE zeigt deutlich, dass der Tanz einen gewaltigen Einfluss auf Harings unverwechselbare Graffiti-Kunst ausübte. Kurze Auszüge aus seinen Tagebüchern, im englischen Original, stehen neben den ausdrucksstarken Zeichnungen. Mit einfachem Strich bringt Haring wirksam tänzerische Charaktere hervor, von Hip-Hop schwingenden Hühnchen bis zur Ballerina in vollendeter Arabeske.
