H. C. Robbins Landon

    March 6, 1926 – November 20, 2009

    Howard Chandler Robbins Landon was an American musicologist, journalist, historian, and broadcaster. He is best known for his dedicated efforts to rediscover the vast body of neglected music by Haydn and to correct long-held misunderstandings about Mozart. His work meticulously delved into musical analysis and historical context, significantly contributing to a renewed appreciation for these composers.
