Stewart Holbrook Series
Stewart Hall Holbrook was an American writer and lumberjack who became a celebrated popular historian of the 'Far Corner'—the region encompassing Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. He described himself as a 'low-brow' historian, delving into subjects ranging from notable figures and railroads to the timber industry and the eccentrics of the Pacific Northwest. His prolific career included over thirty years writing for The Oregonian and authoring dozens of books. Beyond his writing, he also explored his artistic side, creating paintings under the pseudonym 'Mr. Otis.'
