Sylvia Lott

Sylvia Lott is a German journalist and author.
Sylvia Lott completed her studies in journalism, literature and art history at the University of Münster with a doctorate. Lott was head of department at Petra, head of copy and head of department at Maxi. She has written for Brigitte, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Für Sie, Amica, Bunte, Tina, Welt am Sonntag, Bild am Sonntag, Architektur & Wohnen, Auto Bild, Der Feinschmecker and the ADAC travel magazine.
Lott publishes generational novels with Blanvalet Verlag. Her novels Die Inselfrauen (2016) and Die Fliederinsel (2017) and were each on the Spiegel bestseller list for several weeks. The novel The Island Gardener entered the Spiegel bestseller list in 2018 at number 29 shortly after publication. The rose gardener stayed on the Spiegel bestseller list for several weeks from the start in May 2019. Her novel Der Dünensommer, set in Norderney, landed at number 35 on the Spiegel bestseller list shortly after its publication in May 2020. Her novel The Women of the Island Salon – Volume 1 of a four-part Norderney saga – entered the Spiegel bestseller list immediately after its publication in April 2022, as did Volume 2 Storm over the Island Salon in July 2022 and Volume 3 Golden Times in the Island Salon in February 2023. The fourth and final volume of her Norderney saga, Neue Träume im Inselsalon, reached number 15 on the Spiegel bestseller list in March 2024.
