This book documents the journey taken by Vladimir Sis and Josef Vanis, who travelled to Tibet from 1953 - 1955 while making a film. The archival photographs and stills capture the Tibetan landscape, people, customs, dress, monastery architecture, temples and palaces providing a unique vision of Tibet in the 1950's, a vision of a cultural heritage that is no longer in existence after systematically being wiped out.
