John Neale Books

John Mason Neale was an Anglican priest, scholar, and hymn writer whose work enriched English hymnody with many ancient and medieval hymns translated from Latin and Greek. Through his translations, he made English-speaking congregations aware of the centuries-old tradition of Latin, Greek, Russian, and Syrian hymns. His writing is characterized by a mystical and devotional approach, particularly in his commentaries on the Psalms. Neale did not shy away from opposition, demonstrating his commitment to his faith.
