John H. Dixon Books
John Henry Dixon was an English solicitor and friend to the Japanese author Natsume Sōseki and Lord Baden Powell, founder of the Scout movement. After retiring due to ill-health, he settled in north-west Ross-shire, where he developed a keen interest in local history and affairs. This passion for history culminated in his publication concerning Gairloch. He was also involved in promoting the Aultbea Railway.
