Tristan Corbière

Tristan Corbière was a French poet whose work, initially little known, was brought to light by Paul Verlaine's collection of "accursed poets." Corbière is now recognized as one of the masters acknowledged by the Symbolists. His sole published collection of verse appeared in 1873, revealing a singular voice that foreshadowed modernist poetry. Though his output was brief, it left a lasting mark on the literary landscape.
