This research study offers a comprehensive literature review on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and analyzes CSR issues from the strategic decision-making (SDM) perspective, specifically focusing on the process of managers' CSR-related SDM in China. Utilizing content analysis, it examines selected CSR articles to evaluate trends in CSR theory development and identify key variables, constructs, and relationships within the field. The findings suggest that CSR should be integrated into organizational strategies. The study reviews both theoretical and empirical literature related to SDM, summarizing the broader context of strategic decisions and highlighting external environmental factors and organizational characteristics that influence managers' decision-making processes. It also explores how individual characteristics affect SDM and examines the decision-making process through rational and bounded rationality theories. Based on the SDM model, the author proposes a research model linking critical factors from an integrated perspective. Additionally, the study details methods for CSR-related SDM research, including survey design, sampling, and administration, employing a policy-capturing method to create scenarios related to CSR activities.
