Focusing on historical performance practice, this publication aids organists in applying contemporary interpretations rooted in research. It specifically addresses the nuances of playing organ music from Germany and France between 1800 and 1930, bridging the gap between historical insights and modern execution. The second part of the organ school emphasizes practical application, allowing musicians to enhance their performances with a deeper understanding of historical context.

In Part B compositions from a range of countries and eras are investigated with regard to sty listic performance, including such points as registration and ornamentation. Since some of the musical examples which are quoted in the textbook are not available in reliable ed itions or are difficult to obtain, they have been edited and compiled in a volume of music.
