In her project Relocating a Structure. German Pavilion 2022, 59th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, Maria Eichhorn examines the eventful history of the German Pavilion. Eichhorn's initial idea to relocate the German Pavilion for the duration of the Biennale and then to faithfully reassemble it on its original site were accompanied by an analysis of the actual physical structure of the pavilion, which principally consists of two buildings: the Bavarian Pavilion built in 1909 and the extensions carried out by the Nazis in 1938, as seen today. The artist had the foundations of the pavilion excavated and layers of plaster removed from its walls to expose the joins between the earlier structure and the remodelled building. This comprehensive publication is one of the components of her contribution.

The first definitive account of the editions of the celebrated German postwar abstractionist, from objects to lithographs Beloved German abstractionist Blinky Palermo (1943-77) is famed for his large fabric and metal pictures as well as his objects and installations. Less well-known are the works he created in screen prints and offset prints, lithographs, objects and a template for painting. Der Katalog mit Beiträgen, die aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven das Schaffen Mitchells wie auch ihre Verwurzelung in der amerikanischen und europäischen Kunstgeschichte erörtern, wird in Zusammenarbeit mit der Joan Mitchell Foundation, New York, herausgegeben. Anhand zahlreicher Dokumente, wie Briefe, Einladungen, Notizen, Fotografien aus dem Archiv der Joan Mitchell Foundation wird eine reich bebilderte Biografie erstellt.

the exhibition 'I love you!' Mikado sticks make several appearances, their playful associations countered by implications of danger: in the stairway a cluster of the painted wooden sticks becomes a prickly sphere, which visitors are compelled to pass under as they ascend. On the second floor the addition of steel tips transforms the oversized Mikado sticks into spears, displayed as if ready for use. As a variation on these two works, Pascale Marthine Tayou has created the edition 'Mikado Pascale' exclusively for Kunsthaus Bregenz.

Barbara Krugers Bilder und Worte erforschen Themen wie Macht, Genuss, Geld, Liebe und Tod. Ihre Fotografien, großformatigen Text-Installationen und eindringlichen Mehrkanal-Videoarbeiten kommunizieren mit dem Betrachter in einer stark verräumlichten Art der visuellen Darstellung. Das bereits über Jahrzehnte fortgeführte Werk Krugers wird in einem umfassenden Gespräch zwischen der Künstlerin mit Beatriz Colomina (Architekturtheoretikerin und -historikerin) und Mark Wigley (Architekt und Architekturtheoretiker) aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln betrachtet. Das Konzept der Ausstellung im Kunsthaus Bregenz und der dafür neu geschaffenen Werke erläutert Yilmaz Dziewior in seinem einführenden Essay. Das in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Künstlerin gestaltete Katalogbuch vermittelt in großzügig präsentierten Installationsfotos die enorm aktuelle Aussage- und Anredekraft der Arbeiten Barbara Krugers.

Zum ersten Mal werden in dieser Publikation die drei Künstler-Positionen, Wade Guyton, Kelley Walker und Guyton\Walker, gemeinsam vorgestellt. Die Präsentation erlaubt die unmittelbare Betrachtung und Auseinandersetzung mit den Künstlern und dem 2004 gegründeten Künstlerduo – einem bis heute einmaligen Zusammenschluss von bis dahin und auch weiterhin einzeln arbeitenden und ausstellenden Künstlern. Die Autoren stellen die Künstler vor und widmen sich dem Thema der eigenständigen Autorschaft und dem Verhältnis von singulärem und gemeinschaftlichem künstlerischem Arbeiten.
