More about the book
The author was a young Jewish doctor at the children's hospital in the Warsaw Ghetto from 1940 to 1942. When the hospital was forced to close, the children that had survived were taken to the death-camps. Blady-Szwajger became a courier for the resistance and describes that terrible time.
