More about the book

The political analysis of organizations has gained prominence over the last decade, particularly in Anglo-American research, where key questions in Organizational Politics are examined empirically. Focus areas include power dynamics, conflict generation and management from a managerial perspective, and industrial conflict between employers and trade unions. Significant research findings have emerged in these domains, also reflected in German literature. However, there remains a lack of consensus on defining the research object, formulating problems, and establishing research goals. This diversity of perspectives complicates the integration of research results, limiting the benefits of cooperative, especially international, studies. Consequently, gaps in research are often identified serendipitously rather than systematically. Additionally, the economic implications of power and conflict management, crucial for business corporations, have received insufficient attention. Another notable shortcoming is the weak connection with Political Science, which offers valuable insights but is not yet fully leveraged as a complementary discipline.
