Memoirs of a German Jew, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1923, who was deported with his family in 1938 to Poland. When the war began, he was living in Kraków. During the war he left Kraków for Bochnia, where a ghetto was established. From 1942 he went through labor camps in Kłaj (near Bochnia), Płaszów (near Kraków), and Ludwików (near Kielce); from July 1944 he was in camp Monowitz at Auschwitz, and in 1945 - in Nordhausen and Mauthausen, where he was liberated.
