168 epiphyllous liverworts belonging to 28 genera of ten families are recognized, including two new species ( Cololejeunea yipii R. L. Zhu and Lejeunea hui R. L. Zhu) from Yunnan and one new variety from Hainan. Keys are presented to all families, genera, and species. Most species are fully described and illustrated, together with range and taxonomic as well as ecological notes. The phytogeography of epiphyllous liverworts is discussed, and 14 taxa are endemic to the country.
