The book is written by a former diplomat of the Government of Cyprus, former Senior Political Affairs Officer of the United Nations and former Professor of the University of Cyprus in the Department of Social & Political Science and the Turkish Studies Department. It contains his memoirs, experiences and observations relating essentially to the Cyprus problem. When the Greek version came out in mid-2000, it was presented to the public both in Cyprus and in Athens. Moreover, the book refers to very many letters written to him by Dr. Ihsam Ali, a Turkish Cypriot, who, for many years, was the Political Adviser of President Makarios.This is an objective, balanced and much-needed book written in the language of truth.
