More about the book

The Seventh Australasian Conference in Information Security and Privacy (ACISP) took place in Melbourne from July 3–5, 2002, sponsored by Deakin University, iCORE, Alberta, Canada, and the Australian Computer Society. The conference aimed to unite professionals from academia, industry, and government sectors to discuss advancements in information security and privacy. The review process lasted six weeks, and we extend our gratitude to the program committee and external referees for their significant contributions. Out of 94 submissions, 36 papers were accepted, including 10 from Australia, 5 each from Korea and the USA, 4 each from Singapore and Germany, 2 from Japan, and 1 each from The Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Bulgaria, and India. Every author, regardless of acceptance, contributed meaningfully to the event. Additionally, we were pleased to feature presentations from notable figures such as Victorian Privacy Commissioner Paul Chadwick, Professor Hugh Williams from Calgary, Professor Bimal Roy from ISI, Kolkata, and Dr. Hank Wolfe from Otago, New Zealand, enriching the conference experience with their insights.
