We welcome you to the 7th International Conference on E-commerce and Web Technologies (EC-Web 2006) in Krakow, Poland, held alongside DEXA 2006. Since its inception in Greenwich, UK, in 2000, the conference has seen a growing number of participants, reflecting advancements in the field. EC-Web 2006 provided a platform for researchers and industry practitioners to explore the latest developments in e-commerce and Web technologies. Engaging discussions during the keynote address, formal sessions, and social events sparked inspiration and new ideas. The conference received 88 paper submissions, each reviewed by three Program Committee members. Ultimately, 24 papers were selected for presentation and publication, resulting in a 27% acceptance rate. This selection process was challenging due to the high quality of submissions. We extend our gratitude to the Program Committee members and external reviewers for their thorough evaluations, as well as the Organizing Committee for their administrative support. Special thanks go to Gabriela Wagner for her invaluable assistance with the conference's organizational tasks.
