This volume is dedicated to our teacher and friend Hans Triebel, featuring lectures from the International Conference "Function Spaces, Differential Operators and Nonlinear Analysis" (FSDONA-01) held in Teistungen, Germany, from June 28 to July 4, 2001, in celebration of his 65th birthday. This event marked the fifth meeting in a series aimed at fostering collaboration among specialists from Finland, the Czech Republic, and Germany. It was particularly significant as it acknowledged Hans Triebel's profound influence on mathematical analysis. His contributions have shaped the modern theory of function spaces over the past 30 years, impacting both pure and applied mathematics.
