Konrad Heidkamp (1947-2009) studierte Germanistik, Politik und Geschichte, war Gymnasiallehrer in München und Berlin. Als Musikkritiker schrieb er zuerst für die taz, ging dann nach Hamburg, wo er für den NDR Jazzfeatures moderierte und als Redakteur der Wochenzeitung DIE ZEIT fürs Kinder- und Jugendbuch verantwortlich war. Er veröffentlichte die literarische Jazzanthologie «In the mood» (1991) und «Sophisticated Ladies. Junge Frauen über 50» (2003).
