Genetic diversity of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. causing Anthracnose disease of Yam (Dioscorea spp.) in Nigeria

Anthracnose disease, caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, is one of the most significant constraints in the production of yam ( Dioscorea ssp.) and it occurs wherever the crop is grown. All cultivated Dioscorea spp. are affected by the disease, with water yam ( Dioscorea alata ), being particularly susceptible.
