The aim of this anthology is to introduce the tradition of cultural blending in the modern and premodern Japanese society which could be described as "Japanizing". This phenomena of cultural amalgamation of Western and Japanese elements is the basic pattern of Japanese culture and thinking often with the result of an innovation in form as new products, new kind of ideas, behavior and styles. This concept of "Japanizing" could offer an intellectual approach for new interpretations of the Japanese culture and society.
