The book presents for the first time and completely all diseases which may manifest on the meningeal and neighbouring structures of the brain and spinal cord. The manifestations of various disease entities are described in their pathophysiological, clinical and radiological presentations. In addition to congenital dysplasias, all forms of primary and secondary tumors, inflammatory, infectious, traumatic, vascular changes are discussed, as are the effects of impaired circulation of the liquor. The basis for understanding of disease patterns is laid in an introductory chapter on embryology, anatomy, neuroradiology and physiology of the meninges.
