Summary Several approaches to a more user-friendly development and design of technical devices have been defined, such as the Useware Development Process pursued by the Center for Human-Machine-Interaction (ZMMI), but they all restrain to support the development of merely single devices or device families, at best. There is no user-centered approach allowing for the specification and formalization of a technologically equipped environment in its entirety.
